Five Below Opens Five More Chicagoland Stores This Weekend

After setting a company record earlier this year for the greatest number of stores (10) opened in a new market (Chicago) on a single day (May 6, 2011), Five Below is back for more record-setting retail madness. The trend-right, extreme-value retailer for teens and pre-teens is continuing its development of Chicagoland with the opening of five new stores this Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. The stores, located in Tinley Park, North Riverside, Algonquin, Schaumburg, and Woodridge, open just in time for the busy back-to-school shopping season.

Five Below sells brand-name merchandise to teens and other shoppers looking to stay ahead of the latest teen and tween trends at prices ranging between $1 and $5. On the shelves now is a full line of back-to-school essentials, including $5 backpacks, Mead Five Star notebooks, binders and folders; Crayola crayons and markers; Book Sox; locker organizers; and writing utensils. Five Below also offers chic fashion accessories for tech-hungry kids like video games, sports and exercise equipment, iPad and electronics accessories. When the first wave of stores opened earlier this year, the store was immediately known in Chicagoland communities for offering brand-name games and toys, cosmetics, room décor, candy and brightly colored and graphic products.

The five newest locations set to open this weekend in the surrounding suburbs include:
·Brookside Marketplace at 7400 W. 191st St. in Tinley Park, Ill.;
·North Riverside Park Mall at 7501 W. Cermak Rd. in North Riverside, Ill.;
·Oakridge Court at 802 Randall Rd. in Algonquin, Ill.;
·Woodfield Village Green at 1465 E. Golf Rd. in Schaumburg, Ill.; and
·Woodgrove Festival at 1001 W. 75th St. in Woodridge, Ill.
