Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Hopefully you've marked it on your calendars like we have - National Bow Tie Day is this coming Sunday August 28th. On this day, one of the most sacred in menswear, gentlemen and gentle women across the nation will descend on Millennium Park for TheTieBar.com's attempt at breaking the world record for most bow ties being tied at one time in one place. Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records (and a myriad of press outlets) will be on hand to document the earth shattering feat.
If you and your friends are going and you still haven't registered as a participant, you can do so now by shooting TheTieBar.com a quick email to info@thetiebar.com and just letting them know how many of you will be coming. Anyone who sends them an RSVP will automatically be entered to win one tie a month for a year.
