What to Buy at Mercy Beaucoup This Weekend

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

With a carefully crafted name, the play on words for the Mercy nonprofit organization cohesively works with the French ‘thank you.’ The charitable Old Town consignment store has a curious collection of goods from a fierce 1970’s vintage Louis Vuitton racquet case to designer ravinia-ware (the one pictured is Picnic at Ascot). The signature LV monogram holder is priced at $290 on Ebay, but Mercy is only charging $250 with proceeds going directly back to the organization. Not only do they have discounted prices, but a current sale of up to 40% off and with replenishments coming in daily. Other steals we spotted today included an army green Calvin Klein military jacket, a long Burberry trench, and a Vera Bradley boysenberry quilted cell phone cover. - Shelby Steiner
