Alexandre Mattiussi is Launching AMI at Barneys

On Wednesday September 21st from 4-6PM, Alexandre Mattiussi will be dropping by Barneys to personally launch the AMI collection. Alum of Dior, Givenchy, and Marc Jacobs, launched AMI to the world in Paris five months ago and will soon be giving Chicago some special attention to celebrate the midwest launch.

Mattiussi's mission whilst creating the line was forward: to create clothes that he and his friends would wear. The name of the line itself hearkens back to his mission. He wanted to create well-cut blazers and suits, thick knit sweaters, made from honest wools. The collection also includes casual pieces like brown corduroys and denim jackets and fancier pieces like a metallic blue tux.
