LINCOLN PARK—In the second Quick Fire Competition at Perennial Virant, Stephanie Izard unseated reigning champ Chris Pandel.

GOLD COAST—In a move that seems to coincide (or feed off?) the new NBC show, The Playboy Club, the one-time infamous nightclub is set to make a return to Chicago—and it may take over the current Il Mulino space.

OLD TOWN—Just two months after opening its first Chicago location, Pinkberry announced it will open a second spot on Sept. 9, with a freebie giveaway party the day before.

EVERYWHEREJewel-Osco kicked off its "Give a Little, Feed a Lot" Campaign, encouraging Chicago-area residents to donate food and money to any Jewel store in September to help hungry people in the area.
