Carl Dahlstedt, a Chicago-based designer and Columbia Alum, opens his first boutique, C. Dalhstedt, tomorrow, Thursday September 22. The showroom, located in the heart of Wicker Park, sells men’s and women’s all of which are designed and manufactured in Chicago.
C. Dahlstedt’s aesthetic is based on simplistic designs, with a strong focus on quality. What the collection achieves is a modern twist on timeless silhouettes, using unexpected details such as linings in cashmere and over-sized zippers, and a new take on the classic men’s button-downs. The line aims to be one of kind for Chicago, offering fine European fabrics with a Chicagoan sensibility.
The C. Dahlstedt showroom will host their preview tomorrow from 5PM to 8PM and is open to the public. The following day, September 23, 2011, the store will officially be opened from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The showroom aims to mirror the concept of the collection, with an effortless contemporary design.
