Adidas' longstanding collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto, Y-3 is now open on Oak Street. The store was assembled in record time and features frosted plexiglass cubes, large graphic imagery of a mountainous forest and white lacquered shelving.

The Fall Y-3 collection being sold in the shop right now is as described by Yohji being for the new generation, not as he says "the Vietnam War generation". He's catching the spirit of walking and international movement and bringing that spirit to young people.

The new season is less sporty than seasons past shyly turning from Adidas core and more toward the reality of natural elements. The merchandise in the new Chicago store embraces the heavier items especially leather jackets and fur trimmed collars.
