September 7th, Chicago's second Free People boutique opens in the southport corridor at Cornelia. Free People is taking two storefronts, previously a store called Flirt and Couture Cleaners dry cleaner. The two spaces are now connected toward the back of the building. As explained by Free People's visuals team, this is one of the first stores to have new carved wooden stanchions on the walls which adds a urban cool tone reflecting the future of the brand.
In the store now you can find fur trimmed coats, sweater maxi dresses, high waisted and wide leg denim, a lot of color blocking and on the same token a lot of polka dot and plaid. The store's is most definitely coming into good company with surrounding boutiques being Krista K, Perchance, Cerato and Benefit Cosmetics.
