According to a report in WWD, the men’s and women’s brand has signed a 15-year lease for 4,000 square feet at 664 North Michigan Avenue on the corner of Erie Street.
It will be on the ground floor of the reconstructed landmark Farwell Building portion of the 40-story mixed-use development which includes the Ritz-Carlton Residences, 18,000 square feet of retail space and the offices of the Terra Foundation for American Art. It is expected to open early next year.
“Chicago is a great market for us,” said Terry Pillow, chief executive officer of Tommy Bahama. “We currently have two very successful stores in the area and look forward to opening a showcase on Michigan Avenue.”
The store will carry men’s and women’s sportswear, swimwear and accessories, as well as select home decor items. Tommy Bahama currently has 93 retail locations across the country, 13 of which include a restaurant and bar.
