The second ever North American Topshop and Topman is now open on Michigan Avenue. "We wanted to place ourselves on one of the great shopping streets of the world" according to Arcadia Group owner, Sir Philip Green.
Throughout the entire process of the buildout, your loyal Racked reporters were keeping an eye on the progress of the process. And yesterday morning shortly after 10AM a section of Pearson street shut down for the culmination of a runway show of current looks and a ribbon cutting ceremony with Miley Cyrus.
The store is 49,000 square feet with tall glass windows in the corner space. The interior features a mirrored Union Jack pattern on the ceiling, DJ booth in the Topman atrium, fast visual displays, new smaller trees in the planter on the sidewalk, a personal shopping suite, stylist suite, and some pretty rad clothing. The collections include of Unique, Boutique, Fashion icon Collaborations, Designers for Topshop, Topshop Emerge, Topshop Make Up, Freedom at Topshop, Topman Ltd. and the list goes on.
