Jason Wu has just entered the home fragrance business with Nest. The candle which is scented with notes of white Cattleya orchid blended with hints of leather, nashi pear, pomegranate and goji berry. Blond birchwood and hints of pink pepper and coconut were also added. Apparently a combination The orchid motif on the vessel was taken from a swatch of fabric that is used in his spring 2012 collection.
The candle, named Orchid Rain and priced at $48, will be on sale in April at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman and other luxury and specialty stores. Laura Slatkin, founder and chief executive officer of Nest Fragrances said Orchid Rain is the first in a series.
