Developer Fred Latsko has bought property at 375 N. Morgan St. in the West Loop as seen in this recent photo by Curbed. In an email to Crain's this week, he confirmed that Akira's owners; Erikka Wang, Jon Cotay and Eric Hsueh have been approached for a possible store there and have toured the site. The email also confirms that a microbrewery has been approached but does not state a name. The property is one block north of Fulton Market which boasts a bevy of restaurants, a new El station and the soon-to-be moto-tastic Cold Storage Building.
