Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We all wear t-shirts. We all listen to music. Why not combine the two in a kick-ass contest? Sony and Threadless have launched the Threadless + Sony "Soundtrack" Design Challenge, inviting artists and music fanatics from around the globe to illustrate their own personal soundtrack of "greatest hits."
Threadless, the community-based design company, has invited its massive community to create a t-shirt design inspired by the music they use to get through the day – from commuting on the subway to working out at the gym or tapping away on their keyboard at work.
This design challenge coincides with the launch of the new Sony X Headphones, which offer style and sound quality. The chosen winner will get the ultimate exposure – their work and name featured on a billboard in Times Square – plus $5,000 cash, $1,000 in Threadless and Sony gift cards, headphones and tickets to a SonyArtist concert.
