Last night in the Fashion Focus tent, smack dab in the middle of Millennium Park, Mario Tricoci and vitamin water produced Fashion Takes Flight. The show featured collections from Azza, J. Cheikh, C. Dahlstedt, Imaginary People by Olivia Shanks, and Shelby Steiner. The show started off with a few minutes of introduction, immediately followed by the collections and rounded out with three light-up swans atop the heads of three women walking really, really slowly. Standouts in the show were many, and highlights were the headpieces of Azza, pants by J. Cheikh, and the dark patterns Shelby Steiner brought to the table.
All the contestants for Mario, Make Me a Model (the modeling contest) were spattered into the the contracted models, secretly competing to win the contest. At the end of the show, Mario Tricoci (the man) announced the five finalists and crowned one winner. That winner was Caroline Mazurek of Chicago who now has a contract with Factor Women.
