Last night Fashion Focus Chicago drew to a close with StyleChicago.com's Art of Fashion. The show concluded what was another whirlwind week of headlining shows in Millennium Park. Ten designers showed 10 looks each for an even selection of 100 outfits.
There were plenty Chicago favorites such as Lara Miller, Borris Powell, and Swaby to bring out the masses of Chicago fashionites despite the rainy weather. (On a side note can we just say how everyone looked fantastic this week despite the dampness) Michelle Tan kicked the evening off to a sassy start with polka dots, pops of orange, and handcuffs for an extra cheeky touch.
The looks of the night were predominantly sophisticated garments in simple silhouettes that garnered attention with bold colors or exuberant prints. Accessories played a big part in the evening with everything from green croc hand bags, to a head piece made of branches, a feather collar, and some very dramatic wide brimmed hats donned by the models walking the runway. The looks whizzed by just as this week has and now we come to the end of another fashion filled week in Chicago. Until next year kids! -Samm Mackin
