Late last night we investigated a rumor that Versace was opening in the vacant Dennis Basso space on Michigan Ave at Oak Street across from Chanel. What we found was a Versace logo--the head of Medusa on a plaque in the back of the store. The photos in our post last night were dark, given it was nighttime and the logo is in the back of the store, so we went back today and took one in daylight.
Without actually saying that a store was opening on Michigan at Oak in that space, an authority in the newly opened SoHo flagship tells us that Chicago will likely have a Versace store before mid-December.
