Yesterday afternoon, while all the stores in the 900 Shops were preparing to close, new Atlanta import, DEKA was prepping to party. When the sun went down... it happened sporty spice style. With Sprinkles cupcakes and celebration libations this 'twas the grand opening of DEKA Chicago. Owner Jim Whitlow was shuffling about the store fitting customers in Newton running shoes while shoppers and and scenesters perused the sophisticated collection of casual fashion.

As the music blared and the AMEX was being swiped, Champagne in-hand, we flipped through the ever evolving collection of high-end pre and post-workout apparel as well as fashionable leisurewear. Head in for pre-marathon pieces by including Adidas by Stella McCartney, Newton Running, Canada Goose, Adidas SLVR, Miche, Craft MPG, INHABIT, Splits 59 and the entire collection of women's Y-3 which is housed in nation's third Y-3 shop-in-shop.
