It's that time of year again. Chicago's fashion week: Fashion Focus 2012! Whoot! We've got a sneak peek into three of the spring/summer 2013 collections that will be walking down the runway--one designer from each show, running October 17-19 at 7:30PM at Millennium Park.

First up is The Designers of the Chicago Fashion Incubator presented by Macy's on Wednesday, October 17. We got in touch with designer Rachel Frank to see what she is up to.

Frank switches gears targeting the everyday woman with her first ready-to-wear collection for spring/summer 2013. This collection, from RFD by Rachel Frank, is all about the luxurious fabrics, featuring 10 silk dresses in feminine silhouettes emphasizing the smallest part of a woman--the waist. Inspired by the Blue-naped Chlorophonia, a small, colorful Brazilian bird (adorbs!), teal, green, royal blue, yellow and sprinklings of red make up the color palette. Vintage French lace, asymmetrical designs and hand beading add the perfect touch. - Robin Clement
