Girl on the go Robin Clement donned a sparkly strapless dress and slipped on some dancing shoes for the wedding of Deanna Dugo, PR Manager at Rockit Ranch Productions.

The wedding began with a lovely ceremony at The Shrine of our Lady of Pompeii, in historic Little Italy. The 101-year-old church held the bride's grandmother's wedding some 64 years earlier and was home to Deanna's baptism 29 years ago.

The bride stepped out in a pretty strapless gown with a sweetheart neckline, jeweled sash and feathered layers. It was elegantly modern. The couple was sweet together, occasionally whispering sweet nothings in each other's ears during the ceremony. After bride Deanna and groom Matt were turned into wife Deanna and husband Matt, we were whisked away on a trolley to Prairie Production, in the Near West Side.

Walking in, we were greeted with a bar, along with a table containing an advice tree and beloved old-fashioned family photos. The décor was so the bride—black tablecloths were topped with a black and white floral design, romantic candles, feathers, and clear gems and rhinestones, accompanied by candy filled bowls. Hints of red were also sprinkled through the space.

Passed apps were followed by a four-course meal: strawberry and almond salad; spinach ravioli; a fillet, chicken or eggplant tower; and cake! The wedding cake, topped with a feather (notice the feather theme by now?), had three different layers of goodness. The chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting (our layer) was by far the best wedding cake I have ever had.

Next on the agenda was a characacher drawing. It was a fun alternative to a photo booth (an old-timey photo booth, if you will). The evening was capped off with dancing, which the couple cleverly encouraged with dance move recommendations in their program — Robin Clement
