Word on The Street: Gap is Coming to Southport, Maybe Piperlime

Over the past few days, the rumor mill has been in high drive surrounding the old Ann Sather's building on Southport below the Brown Line. At this time last year, the building was found to be for sale. Then yesterday, Patch stirred up the topic, quoting some betch in Real Estate as saying that the tenant would be "outstanding". Today, Everyblock has started to blow up with speculative rumors. The townspeople think Gap, Gap Kids, J.Crew or even Banana Republic or Piperlime.
