This morning at 10AM, Marmot, the company known for bringing innovation to the business of keeping warm opened their doors on Rush Street. In stark contrast to Aldo, who previously occupied the store, this is a brilliant snow white cube with extra high ceilings and a much deeper selling floor. The racks are stocked thick with bright coats, hats, gloves, a few fun t-shirts while mannequins model skiwear, and stuffed Marmots peek from unsuspecting places.
Featured styles which we suspect because of style and warmth will go over well with chilly winters here in the Gold Coast are the Zion, with it's wind-proof-waterproof soft shell ($385); the Quasar which comes in bright aqua and is made of Japanese ripstop nylon from Pertex and sports a 900 down fill ($275); and the jet black Helsinki with a fur trimmed hood and a 650 down fill ($275).
