Risky Business of Home Murals; 'Fugitive' House for Rent; More

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

And now the latest from Curbed Chicago, covering everything you need to know about the city's neighborhoods and real estate...

STREETERVILLE— Elected to Curbed's That's Rather Hideous roster, this spacious 64th floor condo in the Hancock Center has inordinately high assessments and one very tasteless mural of Mag Mile fashionistas. Take or leave the bright splashes of color throughout the unit but please, please, abolish the mural.

LINCOLN PARK— The 'Fugitive' House has been on our radar for quite some time. On the market over a year, it almost sold in August. Even though no real life bludgeonings have occurred in these catwalk-laden confines, maybe one potent movie scene is enough to startle buyers. In any event, the listing is back for $3.699M or $17K/month.

RIVER NORTH— Curbed contributor Arabella Watters paid a visit to the HQ of a booming environmental design firm. Her dispatches from the field cover the far-reaching innovations of DIRTT Environmental's residential and commercial projects. Come have a look-see!

EVERYWHERE— Curbed's 2nd annual Renters Week is upon us. Starting Monday, we'll be posting reader-submitted renter horror stories. But, truth be told, we could use a few more. It ain't a fruitless endeavor for you, either— there's serious loot to be scored in being crowned "most horrific". So take the weekend to compose your thoughts, then submit!
