Brad Pitt was the sexy face for Chanel No. 5 ads and then SNL had to go and spoof it referencing Taco Bell rather then Chanel. When researching to make the spoof, SNL's Taran Killam had to talk to the original ad director to get inspiration. Just like everyone else who made fun of it, the ad's director Joe Wright had no idea what the ads were about either. The genius of Lagerfeld remains an enigma, disguised as a cowboy wrapped in bacon, smothered in ketchup. [Racked]
