Like we all know, the future is all about robots and cameras. And now, the most futuristic gym in Chicago is about to take Bucktown by storm. It's a 24-hour gym that was inspired by the Zipcar model (pay-as-you-go) and will be monitored by only cameras. no on-site humans.

My Time Fitness on North Damen is sandwiched between Robin Richman, Larkspur and The Knitting Workshop which is right next to the expressway. This is the third gym for My Time Fitness with locations in West Town and Roscoe Village but neither boast this extensive network of cameras and biometric keypads. Oh, and panic buttons just in case. In 2013, however the gym plans to open three more locations, presumably flaunting this high-end tech.

Sounds fancy, and with fancy comes a fancy price tag, right? Not really--because there basically isn't any staff the charge is $3.75 per visit after a base monthly charge of $19 and a $99 technology/enrollment fee. Classes (with instructors, not supervisors) start January 1.
