Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It's been a hot minute now since Object Design League became ODLCO, but they're still at it, producing some of the finest small-batch design in the country. The company has been working on a West Loop storefront for their goods. In the shop you'll be able find locally made items like cast iron Wabi Nabe cook wear, funny looking latex balloons, a mixture yakitori set, a coat hanger with built-in brush and much, much more. The opening is tonight from 6-9PM (which is also their holiday party) will feature the opportunity to buy the full line of ODLCO products and samples, yum-yums from Food Crypt (Chris Roeleveld and Sam Cholke)... they're frying donuts on-site, and of course, boozy cocktails.
