BHLDN's Opening Party; Bridal Unlike Any Other

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Racked's own purveyor of fine tastes, J'nai Gaither heads over to the hotly anticipated second ever BHLDN store for the grand opening party.

Hot on the heels of the new, luxurious Vera Wang boutique opening, is another Gold Coast bridal retailer, which promises to be a more alternative way to get you to the church on time. BHLDN is certainly unlike any bridal boutique we’ve ever seen, and that’s certainly apropos for the bride who wants a wedding less ordinary. Every French-inspired ethereal room has a theme: accessories, décor, lingerie—oh my! And then there’s the wedding dress salon—a room so grand that you may actually hear and see angels descend upon you (Granted, their wings do adorn the second floor ceiling).

BHLDN is a member of the Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters group—a sophisticated older sister, if you will, focusing on the total wedding (and events) experience. You don’t have to be engaged or already married to feel at home in the store. If you want to pull off a swanky back yard soiree or a mountaintop dinner party, BHLDN has got you covered. And though this grand space seems to be a miraculous feat of design, it’s never pretentious, never stuffy, but always a site to BHLDN.
