While Manhattan is in the middle of a French Invasion, and A.P.C. in LA is celebrating their fifth anniversary this year, and thriving, A.P.C. founder Jean Touitou has gone ahead and told Interview that now his brand is looking in Venice and Chicago.
While the aesthetic of the brand is chic-simple and truly clean, each store takes time to bask in the non tangible descriptives of each store's location and their design. "We don't have a formula," Touitou says. This being said, we feel there may be a home in River North in proximity to Haberdash, Ikram and Sarca but even more so in Lincoln Park on Webster IF Barneys Co-Op were still there. But it's not so we feel like the most logical location is on Damen north of the viaduct in Bucktown somewhere between Marc by Marc, RSVP Gallery, Apartment Number 9 on the South and Robin Richman, Pavillion, and VividBraille on the North.
