The Chicagoan Now Available at Florodora

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

One of Florodora's best-selling items for the past month has been the revival issue of The Chicagoan. Fitting perfectly with Florodora's mission and aesthetic, The Chicagoan is the original arts and culture magazine from the 1920's and 30's. It has no advertising, and is being sold exclusively in local shops for $20 and by subscription. The first issue, seen here is close to selling out through the aforementioned local shops and pop up newsstands - but if you can't get your hands on this presumably soon-to-be collectible, you can always (now that we live in the age of tech) buy it online.
