Last week Akira held their annual spring runway show at the Lyric Opera in the Loop. The Astrofurf runway and opulent granite atrium was brimming with scenesters and socialites edging to see the next set of tasty wearables for Chicagoans.

The show featured an array of Akira's own label for men and women and a large wave of Akira Black Label. Highlights include the hunky gladiator interlude, neon PVC jackets and leggings, spring neon-brights for men, new shapley eyewear, Jeffery Campbell modified heels and bangles galore.
