Kohl's Ups the Pop Culture Ante with JLo's ¡Q'VIVA!

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

This morning suburban-Milwaukee-based Kohl's is debuting a new campaign around Jennifer Lopez (who's clothing line appears in Kohl's stores nationwide) and her ¡Q’VIVA! The Chosen reality show. On the show, Lopez, Marc Anthony (another Kohl's brand) and Jamie King travel through 21 countries to find authentic, genuine and talented entertainers.

Kohl’s, which recently became the program's exclusive retail sponsor, hosted a shopping spree for ¡Q’VIVA! contestants at a Kohl’s store in Los Angeles. See the video here which makes us wish we were 1) better dancers, 2) fluent in Spanish.

Alongside last week's announcement of an American Idol line in Kohl's stores (as well as the recent Rock & Republic campaign), this is yet another example of how Kohl's is becoming a big part of the pop culture conversation.
