Wednesday night, Judy Maxwell (AKA the Gold Coast's grown-up playground) opened a show of new paintings by Brian Bonebrake. A former Chicago resident, Brian exhibits work nationally and internationally. The subject matter is simple, bright and dreamy with a child-like whimsy. You can catch his work periodically in Judy Maxwell though this show displays the largest collection of his paintings to date and fits so well within the shop's unusual offerings.
