Throughout the years West Town has been continually evolving. Today it’s one of the top destination areas in Chicago and, dare we say, this is owed to the rejuvenation of neighboring retail zones? We're thinking the Division Street corridor and the nearby Fulton Market shopping district and the Grand Ave Design District.
This is partially why the latest in hip, indie and alternative shopping can be found on Chicago Ave Corridor. Similarly to the Andersonville mindset around Clark Street, the region surrounding Chicago Ave thrives on the principles of community and the subsequent charm created by this diverse, yet united area.
To bolster this happening, the West Town Chamber of Commerce has launched a new marketing campaign, new incentives for business members, new neighborhood visuals, an upcoming West Town Mobile App with a ‘hot deals’ feature, and an all-new West Town Chicago Facebook page.
In openings, a Paul Mitchell Focus Salon named Pin Curls is dedicated to making you feel and look your best. Pin Curls provides you classic styles and edgy, innovative techniques that define the beauty industry. The new salon is located at 1656 W Chicago Ave.
Down the street is Comrade Cycles, a brand new full-service neighborhood bicycle shop offering everything from fixing the flat you got riding to work to consulting on your dream bike project or repairing your cracked steel frame. Comrade Cycles is at 1908 W Chicago Ave.
And finally, Squasht Boutique at 2526 W Chicago Ave is celebrating their 2nd year of business on May 27th starting early at 3PM until sometime late into the evening. Like any great celebration you can expect a few surprises and giveaways. Plus, everything in the store is 20% off during the event.
