The Museum of Contemporary Art just got a $10 million donation from Stefan Edlis and Gael Neeson of Streeterville. Mr. Edlis, a retired gentleman from the plastics manufacturing scene has been a trustee of the museum since 1981. He and his wife Gael have donated and loaned works to the museum such as like the iconic Jeff Koons Rabbit and this silicone, platinum/fiberglass Mechanical Pig (video) from Paul McCarthy which is valued between $2,500,000 and $3,500,000. This pig also breathes and runs in its sleep. The 300-seat theater at the MCA will be re-named after the couple.
