OLD TOWN—After shuttering the original restaurant around Prohibition, the House of Glunz is getting ready to "re-open" the Glunz Tavern in June, focusing on updated preparations of classic dishes.

GOLD COASTDanny Grant, the executive chef of RIA and Balsan restaurants inside the Waldorf Astoria Chicago hotel, was named one of Food & Wine's best new chefs for 2012. He joins an elite group of Chicago chefs like Grant Achatz, Paul Kahan and Rick Bayless, who have all been honored with the title in the past.
