Just as promised, early this morning, the newest, and one of the largest DSW stores in Chicago opened with a bit of fanfare and a thirst for designer shoes. The two-level store is a 25,000 square foot church that smells of suede and accessible price points on styles from Bandolino, Gucci, BCBG, Madden, Lulu Townsend and more. CEO, Mike MacDonald, and the Chicago team led a ribbon cutting ceremony (with really big scissors) at 8:45AM with a few hungry shoe hounds in tow.
Aside from the special gift with purchase (for the opening), tomorrow, Friday, May 11 from 3–5 in the afternoon ESPN is showing up giving DSW State Street shoppers the chance to win free tickets to some of Chicago's hottest games.
