Suburban Chicago-based ULTA Beauty, together with Lucky Magazine joined forces this week on Good Morning America to break a world record. That world record - monitored by Guinness is the most makeovers done in one 24 hours. According to Lucky: 403, according to Guinness they did 378. Where this discrepancy comes from, we're not sure but the existing record broke was 350 (according to Lucky was was 118) so that is still pretty impressive by any standard.
Five of ULTA's makeup artists took their places on the set where they stood in one place for 24 hours minus two 25 minute pizza breaks. During the world-record breaking feat, the techs, according to Lucky, used 95 lipsticks and glosses, 35 blushes and bronzers, 60 eyeshadows and 1,500 Q-tips. According to the text bar at the bottom of the television screen of the GMA segment, each tech had 6 blush on hand, colors 4 mascara colors, 15 foundation colors and 8 concealer colors.
