Early today, Wicker Park's Renegade Craft crew sent out an email announcing the opening of applications for their largest and longest standing fair; Chicago. The call is for independent artisans only and of the thousands applying only 300 ten foot square booths will be issued to fill with handmade clothing, jewelry, bags, art and objects. Now, we must point out the option to share a booth with someone, possibly making the total vendor count as high as 600. On top of that, For a $200 booth fee, vendors can also apply to sell their wares from a roving cart, bicycle, or wagon, in lieu of setting up shop in a traditional 10×10 booth. Whew that is gonna be one crazy fair this year. If you're submitting an application or know someone who should, make sure applications are submitted by midnight on June 8.
