LOGAN SQUARE—After numerous bureaucratic battles with the city, Zina Murray released a statement this week saying she would shutter her shared kitchen business Logan Square Kitchen on June 28. Needless to say she's pretty angry with the city.
EVERYWHERE—Chicago Craft Beer Week kicked off May 17 and will run through May 27. With around 250 events and activities set at bars, restaurants and other venues, beer lovers have a big reason to raise a pint ... or four.
ANDERSONVILLE—After months and months of build out and permit wrangling, the Hopleaf finally has set July 1 to open its next door expansion project.
CHINATOWN—Tony Hu, the unofficial "mayor of Chinatown," will take over Spring World restaurant to open Lao Yunnan, his sixth provincial restaurant in the neighborhood. In addition, he revealed that he'll open his first restaurant outside Chinatown at 18 W. Hubbard in River North.
