A Parking Garage in Uptown is Being Converted Into The First "Drive-In" Vintage Market

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

This summer, should you find yourself in Uptown, we've got a new vintage market for you. It was developed to make it as easy as cake for vintage dealers to set up shop and shoppers to shop. It's called the Vintage Garage Chicago and it's (duh) located inside a parking garage on Broadway between Argyle and Foster. With space for at least 100 dealers, this has the potential to become one of the most essential markets of the summer.

The Vintage Garage Chicago will be held June thru October on the third Sunday of each month: June 17; July 15; August 19; September 16; October 21. Vintage Promotions, LLC is the company who's organizing it and we have confidence that they know what they're doing because they also run the Dallas Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show, and promote the North Shore Flea -- and have their own app which you can get with this QR here.
