Spring is the time for fashion road trips. First, we had Madewell and its fashionable Airstream trailer making its way across the country and to our fair city. Now, Bar III, a staple of Macy's Impulse department, hits the road. This weekend, Bar III will bring its fashion-forward (and affordable) wares to Chicago flea markets for... "Bar III at the Flea"!
Bar III's jaunt began in NYC with "It" girls Hannah Bronfman and Corey Kennedy, and then went to LA to celebrate with celeb stylists Tara Swennen and Nicholas Bru.
Bar III will pitch a sleek black and white tent (just like this rendering here) to house a curated selection of women's and men's ready-to-wear, jewelry and home goods. You will be able to walk in with nothing to wear and walk out with a wardrobe for a week--all without breaking the bank! It will be like the Madewell Airstream in that there will be a variety of sizes to play dress up, but purchases will be made via ipads on macys.com. But don't fret just yet--shipping is free. It's the least that they can do for teasing you with all the clothes. And Aimee Song of Song of Style will be in attendance should you feel you need a sartorial styling hand.
It happens at Randolph Street Market in the West Loop this Saturday, May 26th from 10AM – 6PM & Sunday, May 27th from 10AM – 5PM. More perks? Yup. Spend $100 or more and you'll walk out with a limited edition Bar III totebag for your carrying pleasure. - J'nai Gaither
