Blowtique, Chicago's Newest Blow-Dry-Only Salon Opening June 2

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

What do we get now? A blow-dry boutique. Based right here in the Windy City and leasing space next to Ikram on Huron, Blowtique will open June 2. You can get any look ranging from big-body curls to a sleek high gloss or anywhere in between.

Irish-born founder of Blowtique, Fiona McEntee, along with her mother, an experienced beauty pro will charge only $35 per blowout challenging the price of a mani/pedi. Each treatment lasts 35 minutes and includes a shampoo, blow-dry, styling with a flat iron or curling iron, and can last for more than a week.
