Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Opening early this summer, hopefully within the next few weeks, the South Loop gets a new kid hangout, right around the corner from The Roosevelt Collection. Sprout Playroom will give children an eco-friendly healthy, safe play space every weekday.
On weekends, the green play space will house workshops and events for tots and parents to become eco-minded and will be posted on their social networks as they are announced. With their glorious recycled cork flooring, low VOC paint and natural light will feature a retail boutique which will offer locally produced, fair trade, organic and up-cycled products and gifts.
