June Blaker, one of the first boutiques in Chicago to secure haute couture items from hard-to-find designers, is closing her eponymous shop. A staple in River North since its opening, June's shop has outfitted some of Chicago's most fashionable women in the likes of Commes de Garcons and others. This news is just as shocking as when we heard of Ultimo's untimely demise. It will be a sad day when the lights dim on 870 N Orleans. June says that she will continue to work from home, and may consider doing a pop-up holiday market.
