According to Bloomberg , Oprah's OWN Network, which was conceived in 2008 has lost around $330 million. This isn't Oprah's money though, it's mostly Discovery Communications who owns half the network. Despite trimming the fat in efforts to lean up the network's financial situation (and ditching Rosie) the network still has a long way to go. Just last week it was announced that Discovery Communications' stock dropped 28%, most likely from OWN's inability to hook the big advertisers with big viewership. Yet, Huffington Post reports Discovery President and Chief Exec David Zaslav is optimistic about OWN’s ability to break even in 2013. [Bloomberg]
