Smack dab in the middle of the Loop, right next to the soon-to-be-open CityTarget, is the newest, DSW in the country. The official grand opening is tomorrow morning bright and early, however they decided to give us loyal heel hounds a soft opening today.
At just under 25,000 square feet of 'that new shoe smell', the State Street store boasts two enormous floors of selling space, housing over 32,000 pairs of men's and women's shoes as well as purses, travel bags, clutches, socks, umbrellas and shoe care.
Customers experience a breathtaking assortment of designer shoes at prices we're used to seeing from DSW in an updated environment constructed of wooden beams, and eye-level fixturing. Orange and grey accents are reflected throughout seating and seasonal imagery. On most every column there are floor to ceiling mirrors, and wooden pedestals are placed at each foot traffic juncture for feature shoes.
