She news broke late yesterday via her own Tumblr, Chicago's Fashion PR powerhouse, Kiran Advani will be leaving her current city government position at The Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture. Friday, June 29, 2012 will be her last day as it will also be the last day of work for many at COTC as the office is closing.

The city will continue to produce high profile fashion events like Fashion Focus and the Chicago Sidewalk Sale while The Mayor's Fashion Council will continue to do work directly with the City of Chicago advising them on topics relating to designers and boutiques. The COTC, beginning July 1, is morphing into ChooseChicago.
