Open Books just off Chicago Ave at Franklin is having their annual sale Half Off Sale this weekend. This is a fantastic opportunity for book lovers, bargain hunters and teachers alike to come collect some of their favorite titles at the ultimate price. As always, proceeds support the Open Books programs, which help thousands of high-need low-income Chicago Public School students learn to read and write better each year.
All books in the store, over 50,000 of them, which already are affordably priced at an average of $5, will be sold at 50% off. From today’s popular adult titles to classic children’s books, prices on every single item in the store are cut in half. It happens at the store, flooding onto the streets both Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24, 2012 from 10AM - 7PM.
