Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
We mere mortals love a designer "capsule" collection or collab with a fast fashion retailer such as Lanvin for H&M, Rachel Roy for Macy's and Creatures of the Wind for J. Crew. Well, get ready to gasp fashionistas, because as Racked National reports (with 2 full looks), soon we will now be able to shop Narciso Rodriguez for suburban Milwaukee-based Kohl's. Yes, you heard it right. Narciso will be the first designer to participate in "Kohl's' Design Nation" designer collaboration initiative. The pieces will range from $30-150 and will be decidedly Narciso aesthetic--bold colors and sleek, no frills, minimalist design. He said that his inspiration for the collection was Istanbul, with its art, architecture and colors. Though you won't be able to shop the collection until November, you'll be able to join the ranks of Narciso's high profile clientele including first lady Michelle Obama, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jessica Alba.
