'Tis summertime once again when the sun is brighter and the days are hotter. These are two reasons why it's a perfect time for a drink and a hat. And who better than Nina Thompson, Australian hat maker extraordinaire to let us in on what a pro would wear while drinking what.

Nina drinks a Lemon, Lime and Bitters, which is very popular in Australia, where she's from. Unlike most Aussies she's not a big drinker so this barely alcoholic, super super refreshing and medicinal drink is for her. Here's how he makes it:

5-6 drops angostura aromatic bitters
1 tbs spoon Rose lime cordial or 1 tbs fresh lime juice
2 lime slices
2 lemon slices
lemonade, to top, or 7up, and if you don't like it sweet, soda water.
ice

Rim the inside of a TALL glass with 5-6 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters.
Add ice and swirl until the glass is evenly coated with Angostura aromatic bitters.
Add lime juice or lime cordial
Add limes and lemons soda water
Fill glass with lemonade / Sprite / or
Mix well.

And of course, one's brow mustn't be dewy whilst sipping an Australian Lemon, Lime and Bitters, so Nina chooses a French Press in Classic Milan Straw. Of course, this hat, costing $350 is crafted by Nina Falana, and is blocked over a french vintage mold from the 1940s.
