Chicago fashion talent is garnering acclaim the city and world over--from Lara Miller to Cynthia Rowley and Creatures of the Wind. But there are so many other names that deserve to be in BOLD too. One of them is Michelle Tan. Her chic style and eponymous Bucktown boutique are loved by many Windy citizens. Michelle tells us as she opens up about her business, "We're happy to be here and cater to everyone. Sometimes people are looking for different clothes and not everybody is the same size so we do a lot of custom. That's my favorite part."
She opened her boutique on father's day weekend in 2006 showcasing her own wares, but has since evolved to showcase other designers including Agga B., Vika Brown and KANE jewelry. Her six year anniversary is right around the corner-- in fact, next weekend-- and she wants to celebrate with you in grand style. Join her at her boutique next Friday, June 29 from 5-8pm, to celebrate her and other Chicago designers' successes, with champagne and cocktails. But please, don't crash the party. You'll make us look bad. Instead, RSVP here, why don't you?
